National Grid Releases CSR Report
Wednesday, December 19th, 2007On Monday, National Grid released its inaugural corporate sustainability report. Along with a handful of colleagues from socially concerned investor groups and other stakeholders, I’ve worked with National Grid to analyze and review its outline and draft report. This input process has taken about six months and been organized and hosted by CERES. I’m pleased with the result of these meetings, and I think NG takes issues of sustainability seriously.
National Grid is one of the largest utilities in the world, and in the US it serves a large portion of New York and New England. It distributes electricity and natural gas to nearly 15 million homes and businesses in America and the United Kingdom.
